Fireside Farm
Jim and Catie King manage their farming operation in the rolling hills of Bath County, Virginia. They raise pastured poultry for meat and eggs, as well as grass fed lamb. All animals are rotationally grazed throughout the pastures and woods to emulate their natural foraging patterns while improving soil health and water retention. Their supplemental animal feed is sourced from a certified non-GMO feed mill, Sunrise Farms, in Stuarts Draft, VA.
Fireside’s meat birds— though production is temporarily on pause this season— are raised, processed, and packaged on the farm for retail and wholesale markets. Counter to conventional poultry productions, Fireside aims to operate transparently, humanely and at a sustainable scale directed at serving the local community. Their grass fed lamb is processed by Smith Valley Meats and is also available for retail and wholesale markets.
